The Pacific Northwest isn't all about mossy rocks, waterfalls, and mountains. In fact, as you drive east through the Columbia River Gorge the terrain changes almost immediately as you pass through Hood River and the Cascade Mountain Range. Out with the rainforest and in with the arid, rolling hills . Gone are the moss and slugs, only to replaced by the more sinister poison oak and ticks.

The variety of terrain at my fingertips astounds me. Not even a two hour drive away I find myself in these rolling hills covered in blooming lupine and balsam. I wonder who owned this car, left to rust away on a hillside. What adventures did they have in it? Where did they take it? Or.. rather.. where did it take them?
